Being a school manager is meaningful voluntary work.  On this self-learning platform, school managers can enhance their core competencies progressively, in particular the aspects of Attitude, Skill and Knowledge (ASK).

The circular diagram illustrates the three elements of the ASK model (Attitude, Skill, Knowledge) are interrelated. For instance, “attitude enhances skill, skill motivates attitude”; “attitude facilitates knowledge, knowledge changes attitude” and “skill refreshes knowledge, knowledge transfers to skill”. The center of the circular diagram displays the core competencies of school managers, including understand one’s roles and functions, consolidate one’s beliefs and code of ethics and enhance one’s capability of effective governance and collaborative teamwork.

Please read Section 4 "Code of Ethics for School Managers" of the School Managers' Handbook, "Guidance Notes on Drafting Code of Ethics for School Managers" and Appendix 1 "Sample Code of Conduct for School Managers" of Best Practice Checklist - Governance and Internal Control in Schools (provided by ICAC), and then review the code of ethics for school managers in your school.
